Question: Is there a
difference between Patent, PVC, P.U. and Leather materials? PVC is man made material that looks like leather, but, is less expensive. It feels different than leather and looks more like patent leather. Leather is the highest quality (and expensive) material and it has a texture pattern. It is very comfortable and stretches to your size after wearing it awhile. Rub-Off is Originally the boots are red or blue. We then apply a black polish to give it an antiqued look. We wipe off or rub-off the excess polish to complete the look. P.U. Stands for Polyurethane. Polyurethane is a man made material. Uses include: resistant coatings and electrical insulation. We use the material to make shoes. We can make shoes that look like and feel like real leather at a lesser cost.
